Being in a musical ensemble takes dedication and commitment. For all of our ensembles, there is an expectation that additional practice takes place at home. This is your “homework” for your music class. Like all skills, the more you practice, the faster you will progress.
In addition to home practice, we do have some evening commitments such as dress rehearsals and concerts. These evening events serve as the culmination and celebration of months of hard work, and each student’s participation is required. There are four main school concerts/dress rehearsals per year, and one Choir Camp experience. Other than these required events, our program offers many fun and educational opportunities such as rehearsal retreats, holiday-themed parties, the Coffee House Concert series, honor festivals, and musical tours. These events are optional, but encouraged for students who wish to benefit from all we have to offer. |
